Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson was born in Santa Barbara (California, USA) on 25 October 1984. The daughter of two Methodist pastors, Katy Perry grew up listening to gospel music. At the age of 15 he already has the determination necessary to follow a musical career. He started working for some time in Nashville with some important professional authors and composers: at the age of 17 Katy came into contact with legendary producer and songwriter Glen Ballard, who for a few years led her, sensed and developed her talent and her ability to writing of texts.
